It has been a very long time since I last sat down and wrote something in my Xanga. I find my free time to be in limited supply as of late. I apologize. So how has the rest of my summer been? Pretty good, I'd say.
I went back out to California for my vacation. It was pretty nice to see all of my family again twice in a year. I really miss them. It is kind of sad been 2,000 miles away from them. Especially when all of my cousin are having kids. It is a shame I am not there to greet these new additions to the family. But enough about that.
This time, returning to California was purely recreational. The first thing we did was go to The Happiest Place on Earth. Disneyland. That is always fun. I love Disneyland. It was pretty standard fun day. We rode all of the rides we usually do and enjoyed each other's company. Although, it seemed like my dad wasn't having as much fun as the rest of us. While we were there we saw a little production where little ten year olds can fight Darth Vader and Darth Maul. That was funny and cute.
We also went out to Seal Beach Pier to have dinner with a few friends and my favorite Uncle Jim's family. I finally got to meet my cousin Jamie's husband, Ian. He is pretty cool. I like him. I pointed out to my mother that in the eight years we lived in California, she never once took me to the beach. This was the first time I had ever been to Seal Beach. She laughed, and told me she never took us to the beach, because she didn't want to have to chase me around and that the water isn't always the cleanest.
We also went Mini-Golfing another night and that was loads of fun. Yo Bob is a hoot. We didn't exactly play the rules when comes to mini-golf, but in reality, who does?
One of my favorite things I did while I was in California was going to the Griffith Observatory with my Aunt. That was awesome. I am a big astronomy nerd, so this was a very entertaining trip. Seeing all the stuff the observatory had on display. I got to look at an actual moon rock and few meteorites. I could have bought a meteorite, if I had a couple hundered dollars. It would have made a nice paper weight.
My second trip to California was pretty much awesome. Also, let's not forget, I got a car while I was out there.
Now that the summer is over, College is up and running again. I graduate this semester from MCC with my AA. Pretty exciting. I also getting ready for my transfer into the College of Education. I have an education class and I get to observe different class rooms. I watched a kindergarten class the other day. So this is going to be a demanding semester.
Also, I saw the last two movies on my summer movie list. The Dark Knight and WALL-E. I recommend both to you HIGHLY. WALL-E comes to DVD this november and I'm sure The Dark Knight will be out in time for Christmas.
Until Next Time!
